Our Story

How a ski boot mix-up turned into 40 years of community, gear, and trust. 

In 1985, Lenny Nosewicz opened Lenny’s Golf & Ski with one belief: if you take care of people, they’ll come back—not just for gear, but for trust, guidance, and community.

That belief wasn’t shaped in a boardroom. It started at a driving range on Havana Street, where Lenny ran a small setup that doubled as a ski rental shop. It was there his love for golf and skiing came together—and where the story began.

Lenny was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. Golf was in his blood. His father, Ed Nosewicz, is a Colorado Golf Hall of Famer, and two of Lenny’s brothers became PGA Professionals. In the Nosewicz household, golf wasn’t a hobby—it was a legacy.

But Lenny’s story has always been about more than the game.

At that same ski shop, he met his future wife, Patty. He “accidentally” got her ski boot size wrong—giving them a reason to meet again. That mistake turned into a love story that’s lasted more than 45 years and one son, Nick, who’s continued the family’s deep connection to golf.

From the very beginning, Lenny believed that success wasn’t about how much you sold—it was about how well you listened. Whether it was fitting a high schooler for their first driver or offering swing tips at a local course, he made every interaction count.

Now, four decades later, that same mindset still defines Lenny’s Golf & Ski. We’ve grown with new gear, new tech, and new faces—but Lenny’s still a fixture. You’ll find him out at the courses, chatting with customers, giving advice, or just catching up with old friends.

He’s not just part of the game—he’s part of what makes golf in Colorado feel personal.
