Born and raised in Aurora, Colorado, Lenny Nosewicz was immersed in a deep-rooted golf tradition from an early age. His father, Ed Nosewicz, is a revered Colorado Golf Hall of Fame member. With five siblings, two of whom are PGA Professionals, golf is a cherished family legacy he’s passed along to his son, Nick. In the early 1980s, Lenny managed a driving range that doubled as a ski rental shop, seamlessly integrating his passions for golf and skiing. This role sharpened his business skills and underscored the value of building genuine relationships. In 1985, Lenny’s Golf & Ski was born. Today, Lenny remains a prominent figure at Aurora's local golf courses, where his approachable nature and expert advice are highly valued. His unwavering commitment to the sport and personal connections make him a respected mentor and a cornerstone of the local golf community.
Nick Nosewicz, the son of Lenny and Co-owner, grew up in Aurora, Colorado. After pursuing a career in professional golf, he returned home to help run the family business. With 15 years of experience in golf fitting and a lifetime immersed in the sport, Nick’s passion and knowledge of the game are unmatched. A two-time CGA Matchplay winner with numerous other accolades, Nick finds nothing compares to the satisfaction he gets from helping clients improve and enjoy their game. In the winter, you can find Nick fitting ski boots, practicing his pinball skills, and enjoying a slice of pizza.
Tee, a native of Houston, Texas, began his career at Lenny’s in 2000 and has since earned the title of Master Club Builder. With over 20 years of precision and expertise, Tee is dedicated to ensuring that every club he builds is tailored to perfection. You can find him in the back room of the shop, where he applies his expert craftsmanship to everything he works on, from golf clubs to skis and snowboards. His favorite golf course is one that doesn’t take six hours to play, allowing him more time to work on his secret passion: cracking jokes as a stand-up comedian.
Born and raised in Michigan, Sam Thornton moved to Colorado in 1996, with stops in Minnesota and Washington State. She began fitting golf equipment in 2001, dedicating her career to helping golfers of all skill levels find the right gear for their game. Outside of work, Sam enjoys fly fishing in Colorado's streams and is excited about publishing her first children's book. Though retired from skiing after decades on the slopes, she now helps other skiers find the best equipment for their mountain adventures.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Brian Belz has devoted the past 10 years to perfecting the craft of club fitting. Known for his clear and engaging approach, he ensures that each fitting session is both enjoyable and straightforward. Growing up in a family of golf professionals, Brian has been surrounded by the game his whole life. His primary goal is to help his clients perform their best on the course. When he’s not working, Brian loves to golf, hike 14ers, and ski the world-famous back bowls at Vail.
With over 20 years of experience in the golf industry, Doug Mallon has played a key role in fitting, teaching, and sharing the joy of golf with players of all ages. His fitting specialty involves expertly blending knowledge and numbers to ensure every golfer is equipped for success. Whether it's drivers, putters, or anything in between, Doug is dedicated to helping you achieve your best results on the course. While he enjoys the warmth of the base lodge on chilly days, his expertise in ski and snowboard equipment is second to none. A true sushi enthusiast, Doug never misses an opportunity to indulge in some fresh Nigiri and Sashimi, but don't you dare offer him a roll. As Doug says, "rolls are for rookies!"
George Wahbeh, originally from Germany, has a rich European heritage and settled in Atchison, Kansas, before relocating to Colorado. With over 45 years of experience in the golf business, he is a seasoned pro, having served as a PGA Professional, instructor, and coach. In the shop, you can find George in the back room, smiling as he regrips and builds clubs. Outside of golf, he enjoys fishing and finds tranquility in nature. A proud disabled veteran of the Army, George is also fluent in three languages: English, Russian, and Arabic.
Dan May has been a vital part of Lenny’s for the last few years, showcasing his "jack of all trades" skill set. After playing a key role in the 2023 remodel of Lenny's Golf & Ski, thanks to his construction background, Dan is now excited about this new chapter in his career: building golf clubs and tuning skis. In his free time, Dan enjoys flying drones, exploring the art of cinematography, and traveling the world with his family.
Robert Gordon brings over a decade of expertise as a boot fitter and has spent 15 years as a ski instructor at Breckenridge. With a passion for skiing that began at age five, he has developed a deep connection to the sport. Robert also boasts over 10 years of experience in golf retail, giving him a well-rounded background in both skiing and golf. Growing up between Denver and San Diego, he enjoyed summers at Mission Beach and winters in the mountains. Robert’s love for the outdoors is evident in both his professional work and personal pursuits.
Tommy Vento, hailing from Farmington Hills, Michigan, has been fitting golf clubs for the past two years. A former quarterback at Michigan State from 2011 to 2015, he brings a competitive spirit to the fitting process. His favorite golf course is Arcadia Bluffs in Northern Michigan. While he’s a Scottie Scheffler fan currently, his allegiance is and will always be to Tiger Woods. Outside of golf and throwing around the pigskin, Tommy enjoys skiing and spending time in the Rocky Mountains during the winter.
